There are limitations on the movement of stock between states and also documentary requirements to be met.
Health certificates may be required for moving stock into South Australia, and for moving stock interstate.
Movement of horses
There are currently no movement requirements or certification required for horses moving from interstate into South Australia.
Livestock, including horses, affected or suspected of being affected with a notifiable disease may not enter the State unless authorised by the SA chief inspector of stock in the Department of Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA).
