Not-for-profits

A not-for-profit organisation is an organisation that does not operate for the profit or gain - either directly or indirectly - of its individual members. It can still make a profit, but this must be used to carry out its purposes and must not be distributed to owners, members or other private people.

Not-for-profit organisations and charities can operate under a variety of structures. However, for many small organisations establishing an incorporated association is a relatively simple and inexpensive option.
