Subsidised training

Two programs offer subsidised training for businesses.

Productivity places program

The Productivity places program (PPP) provides up to 90% of funding for small businesses to train their workers. Your business provides the remaining 10%.

PPP is part of the Australian Government’s Skilling Australia for the Future initiative. The program provides additional training opportunities to assist Australian workers and job seekers to develop the skills they need to be effective participants and contributors to the modern workforce.

The training places are delivered in response to skills and occupations demand identified by industry.

The program is administered by the South Australian Government through the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST).

Growing global companies program

The Growing global companies program is for young South Australian businesses in the ICT, electronics and creative industries. It is run by Innovate SA on behalf of the SA Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy (DMITRE).

Participants benefit from access to:
  • information sessions on technology, business and export markets
  • entrepreneurial business skills training, including leadership, strategic planning, media and presentation, managing growth and one-on-one mentoring
  • sharing, collaborating and networking
  • export events and trade shows in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and the US.
