Overview

Explosive storage licences are required under the Explosives Act 1936.

Store on premises

This licence is required for the storage of explosives in quantities exceeding three kilograms and up to 60 kilograms.

The licence will be valid only for the person to whom it is issued and for the premises in respect of which it is issued, and is not transferable.

A Magazine licence is required for the storage of explosives exceeding 60 kilograms.

Magazine licence

This licence is required for the storage of explosives exceeding 60 kilograms. A licence granted is issued to the applicant and is not transferable.
