Certificates of competency are no longer issued in South Australia. They have been replaced with a new national licence for high-risk work.
Since 1 September 2010, the
licence to perform high risk work has been issued to people who pass assessment in classes of work formerly known as prescribed occupations.
The operation of a forklift or order-picking forklift is now classified as high-risk work. This work used to be classified as loadshifting operation.
