Any change in the particulars or proprietors of a registered business name must be lodged on the appropriate form within 28 days of the date of the change. Failure to comply results in a late fee being applied.

There are two ways in which you can apply to change the particulars or proprietors of your business name:
- by post or fax
- in person over the counter.
Changing the particulars of a business name cannot be done online.

Lodgement and payment in person
Documents to be processed by 5.00 p.m. must be lodged with the cashier by 4.45 p.m.
Lodgement and payment by post
Your application will be assessed and, if everything complies and the correct fee has been included, you will receive a certificate within 10 working days.
Lodgement and payment by fax
The completed application form and correct fee - via credit card - can be lodged by fax addressed to Corporate Affairs Commission.
