The Energy Consumers’ Council (ECC) provides high level policy advice to the Government on energy policy issues including pricing and the reliability of supplies and services in the South Australian energy sector. It was established on 27 November 2002.
The council represents the views of all energy consumers in South Australia and gives the consumer representatives the ability to have practical input into the development of energy policy.
The goal of the council is to provide advice that may assist in putting downward pressure on prices and ensuring the security and reliability of supply.
