The Grants for Seniors and Positive Ageing Development Grants 2011 funding rounds are now closed.
The 2012 funding rounds should occur around July - August 2012. Further information will be available in the near future.

Eligibility
Non-government, not-for-profit, incorporated community bodies are eligible to apply. Unincorporated bodies are also eligible to apply providing they are sponsored by an incorporated body or legal entity that accepts responsibility for the funded project.
To be eligible to receive funding organisations must have an Australian Business Number (ABN).

Grants for Seniors (GFS)
Office for the Ageing is responsible for the GFS which provide one off grants of up to $5,000 to help older people to be involved in their community and continue participating in activities of their choice. It reflects the principles of the State Government’s
Improving with Age: Our Ageing Plan for South Australia. Funding is provided for the purchase of:
- equipment or materials
- cultural, social or skill enhancing activities
- fitness, sporting or educational programs.
Priority is given to special needs populations and small community groups that receive limited or no significant funding from other sources.

Positive Ageing Development Grants (PADG)
PADG also reflects the State Government's Ageing Plan by providing one off grants of up to $25,000. It is available to community organisations for projects which provide opportunities and choices for older people in line with the following themes for 2012-13:
- enabling choice and independence
- participation and learning
- positive perceptions.
How to apply
The 2012 funding round should occur around July - August 2012. Further information will be available in the near future.
